Henry Davis York (HDY) has elevated three lawyers to its partnership in two of their key practices to bolster the organisation’s talent in their sectors of focus.
The promotions are in the firm’s Banking, Turnaround and Insolvency (BTI) and Projects, Construction and Procurement (PCP) practices.

Michael Greene.
Effective on 1 July 2016, Hamish Dixon and Laura Johns will be the new partners in BTI and Alex Whiteside in PCP.
“Apart from their obvious legal talent and expertise, the appointment of Hamish, Laura and Alex is also due recognition of their dedication to excellence and client service which is at the heart of all we do at HDY,” said Greene.
Formerly from the law firm Buddle Findlay in New Zealand, Dixon concentrates on financing transactions and infrastructure and property development. Johns focuses on insolvency, restructuring and banking dispute resolution. Whiteside concentrates on the sectors of construction, infrastructure and mining.
Dixon, Johns and Whiteside are from the firm’s pool of senior associates.

HDY also announced new special counsels Helen Taylor (BTI), Rodney Hawkins and Eric Herman (Commercial Disputes, Investigations and IP) and Jillian Mitford-Burgess (Pro Bono).
Alesha Burke, Leanne Ho, Gianna Minato, Rachel Page, Charlie Ralph, Nathan Roberts, John Vijayaraj, Tom White, Ken Wong and Sneha Yamunarajan have been named new senior associates.
