Cooper Grace Ward rewards six in latest promotions cycle

Cooper Grace Ward has rewarded six lawyers with new positions in its latest cycle of promotions.

Adelaide Hayes has moved up to the role of special counsel, while Claire van der List rises to the senior associate position. Julia Braddick, Sarah Camm, Elise Emmerson and Sophia Horrocks have been elevated to associates.

Hayes is part of the corporate and commercial team. She has broad experience in transactional and corporate advisory work, such as complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance advice, shareholder issues and agreements, and business and share sale transactions. She also regularly assists clients with matters related to trade mark registration and protection, intellectual property ownership and licensing, technology, privacy, competition and consumer laws, and the establishment and operation of not-for-profit and charitable organisations.

Van der List is a member of the litigation and dispute resolution team. She first practised commercial property law before transitioning to litigation and insolvency. She has acted for large corporate clients and individuals in a range of contentious matters, including contractual claims; misleading and deceptive conduct claims; trust disputes and insolvency.

Braddick is part of the workplace relations and safety team. She advises clients on various matters, such as restructures, enforcing restraints of trade, managing long-term ill and injured employees, employee misconduct, poor performance, and effecting termination of employment.

Camm is a member of the personal legal services team. She provides advice in the areas of estate disputes, estate administration, and all aspects of succession planning, including preparing and advising on wills, enduring powers of attorney and self-managed superannuation.

Emmerson is part of the tax and tax disputes team. She works closely with clients and their advisers to protect their tax positions during the audit or investigation process and where there is a dispute over correct tax liability.

Horrocks is a member of the corporate advisory team. She assists domestic and international clients with general corporate and commercial issues, including corporate governance, structuring acquisitions, disposals, and lender and borrower finance. She also undertakes a wide array of advisory work for individuals, corporate businesses and charitable organisations.
