HopgoodGanim Lawyers has welcomed four to the partnership in its latest promotions round.

Kayla Causer, Luke Dawson, Robyn Lamb and Steven Hunwicks take up their new roles on 1 July.

Causer is part of the construction, infrastructure and major projects team. She focuses on providing front-end and back-end construction advice.

Dawson works with the corporate and M&A team. He concentrates on public M&A and is an expert on matters involving company takeovers, schemes of arrangement, proceedings in the Takeovers Panel and takeover defence. He has also tackled capital markets and private mergers.

Lamb is part of the planning and environment team. She is an expert in handling development applications, approvals and appeals, infrastructure charging, and environmental issues. She has managed and helped with appeals in the Planning and Environment Court, Land Court matters, and judicial reviews in the Supreme Court.

Hunwicks works with the IP, technology and cyber team. He heads up HopgoodGanim’s cyber security practice and advises on cyber security risks, privacy and data protection, technology contracting, IP protection and commercialisation, telecommunications, software development and project contracting models.

Lateral hire from Jackson McDonald

Ryan Chorley also came on board the HopgoodGanim team from Jackson McDonald, where he was a partner. Chorley focuses on commercial property, leasing, and agribusiness.

He has tackled matters involving commercial and mixed-use development projects, as well as the acquisition and disposal of shopping centres, office buildings, and farming properties. Moreover, he has provided guidance on Foreign Investment Review Board compliance.

All these appointments were made as HopgoodGanim approaches its 50th anniversary in the profession.
