The deal "represents an opportunity to onboard a top-tier fund services establishment", TMF Group says
Hall & Wilcox has guided the shareholders of fund service provider Vasco Trustees through the sale of the company and its associated entities to TMF Group.
The deal will bolster TMF Group’s fund services offering through the provision of end-to-end business support services like tax and regulatory reporting.
“This acquisition highlights the immense potential of the Australian market and TMF Group’s everlasting commitment to growth in this region. It also represents an opportunity to onboard a top-tier fund services establishment”, said Patrice Lo, TMF Group’s Singapore, Australasia and Malaysia market lead.
Vasco joint founder and managing director Craig Dunstan explained that the acquisition “marks a significant milestone in Vasco Trustees’ 15-year history”, and that it would bolster career opportunities.
Partner Nicole Tumiati headed up Hall & Wilcox’s team on the transaction with support from lawyer Katelyn Free. The team also assisted Berkshire Global Advisors, represented by Nelson Lam and Glenn Dunn on this deal.
Vasco Trustees’ services include fund establishment, trustee services, fund administration, compliance and licensing, and corporate services solutions.
