Hall & Wilcox has helped Swedish company Tobii Dynavox AB (publ) to acquire communication aid solutions supplier Link Assistive Pty Ltd for about $13m.

Under the deal, Tobii Dynavox secures all of Link Assistive’s assets as well as the shares of a New Zealand company owned by the same vendors, Hall & Wilcox said. The acquisition enables Tobii Dynavox to enter the assistive communication market in Australia and further its reach in New Zealand.

Hall & Wilcox partner Oliver Jankowsky headed up a cross-practice team that advised Tobii Dynavox on acquisition structuring, provided regulatory guidance and conducted due diligence across the corporate and commercial, employment, tax, and property domains. The team also assisted in establishing a wholly owned Australian subsidiary to facilitate the acquisition; moreover, the team provided guidance, prepared and negotiated transaction documents.
