Mark Dunphy will be the first SCG Legal chair to hail from the APAC region
Hall & Wilcox outgoing chair of partners Mark Dunphy has been announced as the new chair of international legal organisation SCG Legal.
Dunphy will lead the global network for a 12-month period. As the first SCG Legal chair to hail from the APAC region, he is eager to champion the interests of firms from this region in his term.
“Mark is a proven leader in SCG Legal’s network, offering first-hand experience to member firms and their clients on how to operate seamlessly across borders. As a member of our board of directors, Mark’s unique perspective will underpin the continued growth and innovation of benefits the network offers to its members and their clients,’ said SCG Legal CEO Alina Gorokhovsky.
Dunphy sat on the organisation’s board for 7 years, and has served as Hall & Wilcox’s representative on the network for over 15 years.
“During my time with SCG, I have had the opportunity to introduce Hall & Wilcox clients to many firms with the SCG Legal community and we have benefitted from some significant referrals as well,” he explained.
SCG Legal’s network comprises 122 independent law firms across over 60 countries. More than 12,000 lawyers make up the community.
Dunphy is set to step down as Hall & Wilcox’s chair of partners on 31 December after a seven-year run at the top. He first took the reins in 2015.
