The senior lawyer has extensive experience in private practice and in-house legal teams for major telco companies
Holding Redlich has called up a new partner in Melbourne.
Joining the national firm’s dispute resolution and litigation practice group in the Victorian capital is Kimberley MacKay. She specialises in complex commercial disputes, class actions, and insolvency. She also has extensive experience in Australia and overseas in litigation, mediation, arbitration, expert determination, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
MacKay started her legal career at legacy Blake Dawson Waldron, before moving on to in-house roles at Telstra and British Telecommunications. She was most recently a senior associate at Arnold Bloch Leibler.
She said she joins the firm as dispute resolution experiences major shifts.
“This is an exciting time in dispute resolution and litigation as the increase in the use of technology and litigation funding significantly improves access to justice,” she said. “Recent changes in the Australian insolvency framework, particularly the safe harbour reforms, are also likely to lead to additional work for insolvency lawyers.”
