Hunt has supervised compliance management systems, trusteeship, corporate governance and risk management. She also brings with her experience in sustaining and executing an effective governance and risk management framework for the fund and trustee – experience she gleaned from her time at Club Plus Super.
She has spent more than 15 years working in superannuation, regulatory affairs and fund governance. Before going in-house, Hunt was a principal at Mercer, where she practised with the governance and legal consulting team.
Hunt also recorded a stint with APRA’s enforcement group, and was responsible for investigating superannuation law violations.
“We are excited to welcome Lindy to head up our legal, risk and compliance function; her experience and expertise will strengthen our robust frameworks to deliver reliable and consistent results for our clients,” JANA COO Ashleigh Crittle said. “Lindy also brings a passion for diversity and inclusion and will be a great addition to our culture.”
The investment consultancy firm confirmed that in her position as legal, risk and compliance head, Hunt has been tasked with overseeing JANA’s contractual relationships and governance. She will also be responsible for managing the current development and implementation of the firm’s risk and compliance frameworks.
“I’m thrilled to be joining JANA as head of legal, risk and compliance and look forward to contributing to the business,” Hunt said.
