Her new term begins on August 1
Karen Davies will continue as global chair of international firm Ashurst for a second term beginning August 1.
The London-based leader was first appointed to the role in 2021, taking the reins on August 1 of that year.

Her ability to chair the firm while maintaining a thriving practice is exceptional, and I’m confident that under Karen’s continued guidance as chair, our firm will continue to go from strength to strength,” Ashurst global CEO Paul Jenkins said in a statement.
Jenkins confirmed that he and Davies would continue their collaboration in leading the global firm.
Davies indicated that she would remained focused on initiatives like tackling emerging opportunities for the firm, innovation and technology, and sustainable and inclusive practices.
“It is a privilege to be Ashurst’s global chair, and I'm excited to be starting a second term. The strength of our firm lies in our talented people, our collaborative culture and our unwavering commitment to delivering for our clients. Together with the board, Paul and the executive team, and our global partnership and people, we will continue to build on our achievements and drive the firm forward,” she said.

Davies first took a seat on the board in 2017. She served as UK corporate head at Ashurst, with a practice that focused on mergers and acquisitions.
