Meridian Lawyers teams up with Automatise on AI implementation

Meridian Lawyers has teamed up with Automatise on the adoption of Automatise’s AI solution Cicero.

The move reflects a progression of the firm’s digital strategy. Cicero, which the firm describes as the “first private AI solution for legal professionals”, allows Meridian to automate effort-intensive tasks.

“Partnering with Automatise and adding Cicero to our technology applications is transformative for our business. The possibilities for enhancing everyday processes for litigated and non-litigated matters using Cicero is extraordinary”, said Dan Cartwright, head of technology and digital solutions at Meridian.

He added that the need to secure data effectively factored into the firm’s decision.

“The decision to choose this application over others is driven by Automatise’s unwavering focus on data security and integrity, which directly aligns with our priorities. Storing data in a secure, private cloud infrastructure is a non-negotiable for us and our clients”, Cartwright said.

Meridian is set to begin a Cicero pilot program to evaluate its performance more extensively, with the goal of implementing the solution across the business.

“The robust security and privacy measures of Cicero along with the relevant certifications and controls that are in place through Automatise’s practices, meet the high standards demanded by Meridian and their clients, safeguarding sensitive information, and preserving the integrity and confidentiality of data”, Automatise managing director Joseph Rayment said.
