The new office is expected to facilitate greater connection and collaboration within HSF team
International law firm Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) has announced the relocation of its Perth team to the city's newest premium-grade building, One The Esplanade.
The firm will occupy two levels within Brookfield's 29-story commercial tower, located on the banks of the Swan River in Elizabeth Quay. The structure of the new Perth office has been designed by Woods Bagot and prioritises greenery and access to natural light. The office includes various meeting rooms and areas for team collaboration, including stand-up meeting spaces, a large staff breakout area and a cafe for both staff and clients to enjoy.
The new building aims to achieve market-leading sustainability ratings, including a 5-star rating from the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) and a 6-star green rating. The new structure also aims to meet the International WELL Building Institute Gold (Core) standard.
Managing partner of the HSF Perth office Elizabeth Macknay said the firm's new workplace had been designed to meet its people's and clients' needs. "The new building offered us a blank canvas to create a tailored environment with state-of-the-art facilities to meet the evolving needs of our people, helping them to perform at their best and deliver outstanding results for our firm and our clients."
Macknay said the new office is set over two floors and offers spectacular views of the Swan River, Langley Park and the Supreme Court Gardens. The new office is expected to facilitate greater connection and collaboration, enhancing how the firm works and further strengthening the culture of the firm's Perth team.
Macknay added, "After 20 years at QV1, we are very excited about the move. I look forward to warmly welcoming our people and clients to our new office at Elizabeth Quay."
The HSF Perth office is currently in the QV1 Building on St Georges Terrace. The team will hold office in the new building starting March 20.
