Hall & Wilcox has played a pivotal role in advising LuckyLiquor Pty Ltd on the successful launch of their new Australian gin brand, Papa Salt Gin.

LuckyLiquor is the Australian subsidiary of LuckyLiquor USA. The company was founded by renowned actress Margot Robbie, along with her husband Tom Ackerley and three other film industry colleagues, Charlie Maas, Josey McNamara, and Regan Riskas.

The legal team at Hall & Wilcox was led by special counsel Nicole Tumiati and senior associate Susannah Dobbie. The team provided invaluable support in the preparation of crucial commercial documents. These included a production agreement with Lord Byron Distillery, ensuring the high-quality production of Papa Salt Gin, as well as a distribution agreement with a leading Australian liquor distributor, guaranteeing wide availability of the brand.

Senior associate Nhu Thuy Dinh also played a key role, offering expert advice on the employment aspects of the deal. This involved the meticulous preparation, negotiation, and execution of the executive services agreement for the LuckyLiquor General Manager, who will oversee the company's operations in Australia.

Expressing her enthusiasm about the project, Susannah Dobbie stated, "We were really excited to have the opportunity to assist the dedicated founders, who spent five years sampling 59 different recipes to come up with 'the chosen one,' to bring the Papa Salt Gin brand to life." Papa Salt Gin is described on the company's website as an "easy-drinking gin," meticulously crafted to enhance the enjoyment of seasonal drinking experiences.

Hall & Wilcox's involvement in the launch of Papa Salt Gin highlights their expertise in providing comprehensive legal advice to emerging players in the Australian food and beverage industry. The firm has also previously advised Maggie Beer Holdings on the sale of St David Dairy to Goulbourn Valley Creamery. The firm has also advised Maggie Beer Holdings’ earlier acquisition of Hampers & Gifts Australia.
