2024 NZ Law Awards open for nominations

It's time to throw your hat in the race to determine the best of the NZ legal profession

2024 NZ Law Awards open for nominations

Nominations are open for the 2024 NZ Law Awards, which seeks to spotlight the best of the country’s legal profession once again this year.

The awards will honour the achievements of individuals, law firms, in-house teams and mediators in New Zealand in 26 categories. They will also highlight remarkable deal work and valuable initiatives implemented by organisations to emphasise the importance of diversity and inclusion.

“We are especially proud when our clients are recognised for their excellence. Their innovative approach, supported by our legal practice productivity solution, is truly commendable”, said Donna Broadley, CEO of event partner LEAP Legal Software.

Excellence Awardees will be announced on 5 September. A panel of independent expert judges will then come together to identify those who will be part of the winners’ circle.

This year’s NZ Law Awards ceremony will be held at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre on 28 November. Members of the legal profession will get to sparkle in their best black-tie attire on the big night, which will be hosted by comedy star Urzila Carlson.

The nominations period for the 2024 NZ Law Awards will run until 12 July. Those looking to put forward names can do so online; you can submit nominations for as many categories as you like.

NZ Lawyer would like to extend special thanks to event partner LEAP Legal Software, as well as to event sponsors LexisNexis, Chisholm Clarke, Realaml, Robert Walters, Fluid Legal Recruitment, James & Wells, Russell McVeagh, Baker Tilly Staples Rodway, and Artemis Executive Recruitment for supporting this event and the recognition of legal excellence.
