In the quest to seek out the best of the best in the legal industry, one NZ Law Awards sponsor wants to ensure that good employers get their due respect.

As the sponsor of the Employer of Choice (>100 Lawyers) category this year, Realaml is looking to celebrate “New Zealand law firms excelling in employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, professional development and more”, CEO Jordan Leroy McCown said.

The window for nominations to the NZ Law Awards is quickly closing, with the submissions period set to end on 12 July. The awards are looking to honour the best in the New Zealand legal profession across 26 categories.

The event will honour the achievements of individuals, law firms, in-house teams and mediators; the awards will also highlight standout deal work and crucial initiatives implemented by organisations to spotlight diversity and inclusion.

Those looking to put forward nominations can do so online; you can submit nominations for as many categories as you like. Excellence Awardees will be announced on 5 September.

A panel of independent expert judges will then determine the ultimate winners to be announced at a black-tie gala to be held at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre on 28 November and hosted by comedy star Urzila Carlson. Members of the legal profession will get to dress in their best as they celebrate with their peers.

NZ Lawyer would like to extend special thanks to event partner LEAP Legal Software, as well as to event sponsors LexisNexis, Chisholm Clarke, Realaml, Robert Walters, Fluid Legal Recruitment, James & Wells, Russell McVeagh, Baker Tilly Staples Rodway, and Artemis Executive Recruitment for supporting this event and the recognition of legal excellence.
