Just over a thousand more in donations before top firm’s chair shaves head
Lloyd Kavanagh, MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ chairman, and partner Jeremy Muir may just have to shave their heads soon.

Banking partners Michael Langdon, Tom Fail, and Steve Gallaugher are participating in this year’s Daffodil Day fundraising to support the Cancer Society. They’ve teamed up with ANZ’s lending services team and have agreed to shave their heads on Friday.

“We were asked by ANZ’s lending services team to show our support, and thought let’s do this. With cancer affecting one in three New Zealanders, the money we raise will support patients with cancer as well as their families. It will also fund breakthrough cancer research to reduce the incidence of cancer for our children and future generations,” said Gallaugher.

The Minters team initially set out to raise $5,000, but they’ve blown past that goal and have raised their goal to $10,000. They’ve already raised more than $8,600.

The firm has confirmed that Kavanagh and Muir have both agreed to participate in the shave if the $10,000 goal is hit.
