The new partners are experts in family law and property law
Mortlock McCormack Law has recently announced the appointment of two new partners.
The firm promoted family law specialist Emily Flaszynski and property law expert Chris Egden to partners. Flaszynski has a strong family law background and commercial and civil litigation. She joined Mortlock McCormack Law as an associate in March 2020 and leads the firm’s family law team.
Flaszynski’s professional experience includes relationship property, trust and asset protection, dispute resolution and complex problem solving, wills and succession planning, education law, and family protection act claims. In addition, she was involved in various class actions over earthquake insurance claims. She is also a member of the Canterbury Earthquakes Insurance tribunal.
Further, Flaszynski is an associate member of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand, a trustee for the Southern Ballet Theatre Trust Board, and a member of the Family Courts Association.
Egden joined Mortlock McCormack Law as an associate in November 2015. He has an experience in all manner of property-related matters. Egden also has a strong background in residential and commercial developments. He has advised clients on subdivisions and property development, commercial leasing, commercial and residential property transactions, business sales and purchases, commercial law, hospitality, and trusts. He has also acted for a number of landlords and tenants in relation to commercial leasing matters. Egden leads one of the firm’s property law teams.
