NZ Law Awards 2024 to honour firms of varying sizes and specialisations

A ceremony late next month will recognise this country’s standout specialist, boutique, mid-sized, and large law firms, alongside others in the legal profession and the legal market who have been shortlisted for this year’s New Zealand Law Awards.

NZ Lawyer’s shortlist for the 2024 excellence awardees also includes private practitioners, in-house lawyers and legal teams, service providers, deals, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

“We look forward to seeing firms and individuals who have excelled in their practice areas and demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to legal services,” says Alana Ashe, general manager of operations for LEAP NZ, event partner of the NZ Law Awards.

The 24 award categories include the following awards focused on firms, among others:

  • Employment Law Specialist Firm of the Year
  • Litigation & Dispute Resolution Specialist Law Firm of the Year
  • Intellectual Property Specialist Law Firm of the Year
  • Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Property & Construction Specialist Law Firm of the Year
  • LexisNexis Boutique Law Firm of the Year
  • LEAP Legal Software Mid-Size Law Firm of the Year
  • Robert Walters Large Law Firm of the Year
  • Law Firm Leader of the Year (≤100 Lawyers)
  • Law Firm Leader of the Year (>100 Lawyers)

The 2024 NZ Law Awards winners will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony on 28 November at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland. Urzila Carlson, comedy star, will host the event.
