A multidisciplinary group of more than 40 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the
University of Canterbury will be working with
Lane Neave lawyers this weekend to use technology and fresh approaches to solve problems in the legal space.
During the event, teams of students will be paired with lawyers and business mentors in the three-day Lane Neave LawTech Bootcamp for “speed mentoring sessions.” The teams, made up of students from multiple disciplines, will work on their projects to solve challenges in the legal space for a chance to win $3,000.
“The legal sector has not always been the fastest industry to embrace rapid changes in technology and Lane Neave is keen to explore the latest innovations, for our business and the wider sector,” Lane Neave CEO Peter Dwan said.
“It is now more important than ever for law firms to meet the market through the smart use of technology. During this LawTech Bootcamp, our firm wants to uncover what the brightest sparks in IT and commerce can add to our company’s specific expertise and create some exciting new ideas and solutions,” Dwan said.
