A UK-headquartered legal research company has partnered with a New Zealand organisation to launch a case law service in the country.
From September, Justis becomes the exclusive provider of The Law Report case law collection. The partnership adds another jurisdiction to the collection of common law cases accessible through Justis. The New Zealand collection contains important decisions handed down by New Zealand’s higher courts from 2010 onwards.
“Cases will be available alongside those from other common law jurisdictions including Canada, Australia and the UK, and will be cross-referenced by the Justis editorial team against its entire body of case law – a current practice applied to all cases being added to Justis. Connecting related authorities across jurisdictions presents exciting opportunities for comparative research,” Justis said in a statement.
The New Zealand content, which includes more than 4,600 cases, will be available through the JustisOne platform. The Law Report will continue to provide case summaries to the database through weekly updates.
