The bird even copied the man’s voice
A Michigan woman will be serving life in prison for fatally shooting her husband all because their pet parrot apparently witnessed the murder.
Glenna Duram shot her husband Martin five times in 2015, before shooting herself in the head in a failed suicide attempt, according to the Associated Press.
Their pet parrot, Bud, later repeated, “Don’t (expletive) shoot,” in the man’s voice, according to the man’s former wife, Christina Keller, who took possession of the African Grey parrot after the murder.
A jury found Glenna Duram guilty of first-degree murder and a felony firearm charge last month. She was sentenced to life in prison on Monday. Her lawyer said an appeal is in the works.
