JWS, Baker McKenzie confirm roles in Protecht's $445m sale to PSG Equity

Johnson Winter Slattery (JWS) and Baker McKenzie have confirmed their roles in the sale of Sydney-based enterprise risk management software company Protecht Group Holdings Pty Ltd on its $445m sale to US-based private equity firm PSG Equity L.L.C.

“PSG have a strong track record of investing in rapidly growing software companies around the world that are ready to take the next step to achieve scale. This transaction is PSG’s largest investment in Australia to date, and is testament to the attractiveness of Australian software companies to global investors”, Baker McKenzie lead partner Liam Hickey said.

According to Baker McKenzie, the deal reflects PSG’s readiness for its next stage of growth.

JWS advised Protecht’s shareholders on all legal aspects of the transaction. Partner James Rozsa led the deal team, which included special counsel Kate Naude and associates Nathan Shapiro and Ella Furphy.
