Hynd joins the Brisbane office alongside new senior associate Jean Lukin
HopgoodGanim Lawyers has brought in Andrew Hynd to lead its intellectual property, technology, and cyber security (IPTC) practice group.
He joined the Brisbane office alongside new senior associate Jean Lukin on Monday.
“We’re excited to welcome Andrew and Jean, whose combined knowledge of government procurement and commercial transactions perfectly aligns with our firm’s strategic vision, making them a great fit for HopgoodGanim,” HopgoodGanim managing partner Luke Mountford said.
Hynd focuses on technology, data, privacy, procurement, and probity matters. He has over two decades of experience assisting private entities and government organisations regarding strategic procurement and transformational technology projects.
He also has experience with complex privacy compliance matters and data, IT, and regulatory issues like data value capture, data breaches, software licensing, support contracts, and cloud computing.
Mountford described Hynd as “one of the top IPTC lawyers in Brisbane.”
“His experience supporting major transformational technology projects will provide immense value to our clients, particularly as they continue to adopt more advanced technologies across their organisations,” Mountford said.
Meanwhile, Lukin joins from Holding Redlich. She has assisted government entities with contracting and probity matters in connection with major commercial projects, transactions, and procurements.
The new appointments come shortly after HopgoodGanim’s pickup of a specialised real estate practice from Corrs Chambers Westgarth last month and its addition of two IPTC consultants last December.
